Alive by Night is the opposite of Stone by Day. In the 90s cartoon Gargoyles, an ancient clan led by Goliath spent every day frozen as statues, then woke at sunset to protect Manhattan. There was a brooding leader, a loyal old mentor, a trio of younger gargoyles, and one very good gargoyle dog.
